The First Complete Database of Marcellus-Utica Lease Holds is Released by Apollo Mapping
Having near instant access to accurate and up-to-date lease hold data for the dynamic Marcellus and Utica Shale plays is an absolute must for informed energy business decisions. Lacking a one-stop source for this crucial data, energy companies working in the region have relied upon cumbersome and costly research completed by hand at the local courthouse. In response to this industry-wide need, Apollo Mapping has partnered with Surfside Contracting/Jim Bourbeau Land Service to create the first ever lease hold database covering every productive acre of the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays.
With 129 counties in the lease hold database - the majority of which are located in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia - we are sure to have the coverage you need. Understanding that this information must be as up-to-date as possible for accurate business decisions, a third of the counties in the database are updated weekly, with bi-weekly updates to the rest. Lease holds are delivered as shapefiles or file geodatabases for GIS users and as PDFs for other energy professionals within 8 business hours of order placement. Each tract of lease hold data contains the key attributes energy professionals need to make informed decisions, including:
- Lease Holds – lessee (including top leases), expiration date, formation specific leases and acreage held by production (HBP)
- Ownership – spatial boundaries, land owner and mineral rights owner
- Payments – lessor royalties and bonuses
