The Corrections Department
In this monthly piece, we let you know the mistakes we made in last month’s Geospatial Times with a big thanks to the folks that find them.
- Peter Schlesinger noticed that we did not make an important distinction between active and passive sensors in July’s G-FAQ. An active sensor is one that creates its own energy source and then measures the time it takes this energy to return and at what strength. A passive sensor is one that measures the illumination (commonly the reflection) from an outside energy source, such as the Sun.
- Christopher Banik noticed that in our July edition of Small World, we confused Abu Dhabi and Dubai, UAE – woops, we got that corrected!
Did you find another mistake we missed? If so, let us know by email at brock@apollomapping.com and we will get it fixed up.
